LESSONS from the FIELD: Autism Series
The 2008-09 Lessons from the Field series focused on Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). CECMH decided to focus this series on autism based upon the feedback from attendees at the previous year's workshop series. Workshops included the following topics: neurobiological foundations of autism, early diagnosis and intervention, multidisciplinary interventions, and complementary alternative interventions. An evening workshop for parents and families included sessions on the basics of ASD, services, interventions, and transitions for the autistic child.
