Elizabeth Carlson , Ph.D., LP

Elizabeth Carlson, Ph.D., L.P. is a Research Associate and Instructor at the Institute of Child Development, University of Minnesota.  She is co-author of a book on the consequences of early attachment and has published numerous papers on the effects of early experience on emotional and behavioral disturbance, the internalization of experience, and the mutual influence of representation and experience.  Dr. Carlson is internationally recognized as a trainer in infant attachment assessment and consultant on attachment research.  She provides clinical consultation regarding attachment and infant mental health and works directly with children and families in private practice.
